In Finlandia, a Salpausselkä, è andato in scena il terzo Gran Premio del Campionato del Mondo EnduroGP 2026. Un appuntamento impegnativo e spettacolare che ha visto ancora una volta l’MGR Racing Team protagonista grazie alle prestazioni di Kyron Bacon.
Le due giornate di gara, anticipate dal tradizionale SuperTest del venerdì sera, hanno dato vita a un weekend particolarmente duro e tecnico. Le tre classiche prove speciali – Enduro Test, Cross Test ed Extreme Test – hanno messo a dura prova tutti i piloti lungo un percorso reso ancora più difficile dal terreno finlandese. Se il sabato le condizioni si sono dimostrate già selettive, alla domenica i profondi canali creati dal passaggio dei piloti hanno aumentato ulteriormente la difficoltà delle speciali, rendendo ogni prova ancora più tecnica, fisica e impegnativa.
Kyron Bacon si è dimostrato ancora una volta competitivo e perfettamente all’altezza del contesto mondiale, spingendo al massimo la sua Kawasaki KX300X fin dalle prime battute del weekend. Nel corso della prima giornata il pilota della Tasmania ha saputo interpretare al meglio le difficili condizioni del tracciato, facendo registrare tempi solidi e costanti già dal primo giro. Giro dopo giro, Kyron è riuscito a mantenere un ottimo ritmo nonostante il progressivo deterioramento delle prove speciali, chiudendo il sabato con una convincente quinta posizione nella combattuta classe Enduro2.
Anche la domenica era iniziata con sensazioni positive e un buon ritmo nelle prime speciali, ma un problema tecnico ha costretto Kyron al ritiro anticipato, interrompendo prematuramente una giornata che lasciava intravedere un altro risultato importante.
Enrico Garelli – Team Manager: “È stato un fine settimana dai due volti. Il sabato è iniziato in modo molto positivo, con Kyron che è riuscito a essere veloce e concreto fin dal primo passaggio. Ha costruito la sua gara sugli ottimi tempi fatti registrare nel primo giro, mantenendo poi un ritmo competitivo per tutta la giornata e chiudendo con un ottimo quinto posto di classe. La domenica, purtroppo, non è andata come speravamo a causa di un problema tecnico che ci ha fermati quando le sensazioni erano comunque positive. Fa parte del motorsport, ma guardiamo avanti con fiducia. Ora tutta l’attenzione è rivolta al prossimo GP, quello del Portogallo.”
Kyron Bacon: “Sono soddisfatto della mia prestazione del sabato. Sono riuscito a trovare subito un buon feeling e a essere efficace fin dalle prime speciali. Peccato per una caduta che ha compromesso in parte il risultato finale, ma sono comunque contento della quinta posizione in Enduro2. Domenica è un vero peccato perché il feeling era buono e stavo riuscendo a mantenere un ritmo positivo. Purtroppo il motorsport è anche questo. Adesso guardiamo avanti e ci concentriamo sul prossimo GP”.
Good performance from Kyron Bacon in Finland at the third round of EnduroGP
In Finland, in Salpausselkä, the third round of the 2026 EnduroGP World Championship took place. A demanding and spectacular event that once again saw the MGR Racing Team in the spotlight thanks to the performances of Kyron Bacon.
The two race days, preceded by the traditional Friday evening SuperTest, delivered a particularly tough and technical weekend. The three classic special tests – Enduro Test, Cross Test, and Extreme Test – challenged all riders across a course made even more difficult by the Finnish terrain. While Saturday’s conditions were already selective, on Sunday the deep ruts created by the riders’ passage further increased the difficulty of the tests, making each stage even more technical, physical, and demanding.

Kyron Bacon once again proved to be competitive and fully up to the World Championship level, pushing his Kawasaki to the limit from the very start of the weekend. During the first day, the Tasmanian rider was able to adapt perfectly to the challenging conditions of the track, posting solid and consistent times from the very first lap. Lap after lap, Kyron managed to maintain a strong pace despite the progressively worsening special tests, finishing Saturday with a convincing fifth place in the highly competitive Enduro2 class.
Sunday also began with positive feelings and a good pace in the early special tests, but a technical issue forced Kyron to retire early, prematurely ending a day that had been showing promise for another strong result.
Enrico Garelli – Team Manager: “It was a weekend of two halves. Saturday started very positively, with Kyron able to be fast and consistent from the very first pass. He built his race on the strong times set in the opening lap, then maintained a competitive pace throughout the day, finishing with an excellent fifth place in class. Sunday unfortunately didn’t go as planned due to a technical issue that stopped us when the feeling was still positive. It’s part of motorsport, but we look ahead with confidence. Now all focus is on the next GP in Portugal.”
Kyron Bacon: “I’m satisfied with my performance on Saturday. I was able to find a good feeling straight away and be effective from the early special tests. It’s a shame about a crash that partly affected the final result, but I’m still happy with the fifth place in Enduro2. Sunday is a real shame because the feeling was good and I was managing to keep a solid rhythm. Unfortunately, motorsport is also this. Now we look ahead and focus on the next GP.”
