Jarno Boano: ” La terra dura e pietrosa Siciliana ha messo in difficoltà quasi tutti i piloti. L’Enduro Test e l’Extreme Test, molto guidate e tecniche, hanno fatto la differenza tra i vari piloti. Non possono non iniziare complimentandomi con Alberto!! Debutto nella Junior con due vittorie ASSOLUTE!! Alby è stato impeccabile in entrambe le giornate dimostrando che la strada intrapresa sta portando i suoi frutti. Continuo con i miei piloti Junior facendo anche i complimenti anche a Verzeroli, che in Day 1 a comandato la classifica fino all’inizio del terzo giro di gara. Poi, purtroppo, l’urto con un sasso piantato, in speciale, ha causato la rottura del carter e la rottura del motore!! Peccato! Day2 Manuel ha soffero un pò di più, ma sul finale ha recuperato portando a casa il terzo posto nella EJ2 e sesto Assoluto junior.
EGP. Il livello globale della EGP si è comunque alzato. Oggi a metà gara i primi otto piloti erano rinchiusi in solo dieci secondi. Zach è rientrato in gara a sole tre settimane dalla frattura del pollice destro, che era stato operato con l’inserimento di una piastrina. Purtroppo un pò il dolore ed un pò il fatto di sapere di non essere al 100% non hanno aiutato a portare a casa il miglior risultato. Ma vista la situazione, un secondo ed un terzo posto nella classe E2 si possno ritenere più che positivi. Nella classe EGP, con il sesto e l’ottavo posto, ha portato a casa comunque punti importanti.
Week end un pò al di sotto delle aspettative per Cavallo che non ha trovato il giusto feeling con il terreno Siciliano. Sono sicuro che può fare meglio, sia per quello che sta facendo in allenamento che per la motivazione che ha. Ora pochi giorni è sarà la volta degli Assoluti d’Italia a Caltanissetta. Grazie a tutti per il continuo supporto.”
Jarno Boano: “The hard, rocky Sicilian terrain put almost all the riders in difficulty. The Enduro Test and the Extreme Test, both very technical and challenging, made the difference between the various riders. I can’t help but congratulate Alberto!! His debut in the Junior class was a two-time overall winner!! Alby was impeccable on both days, proving that the path he’s taken is bearing fruit. I’d like to continue with my Junior riders, also congratulating Verzeroli, who led the standings on Day 1 until the start of the third lap of the race. Then, unfortunately, a collision with a planted rock on the special stage caused the crankcase to break and the engine to fail!! What a shame! On Day 2, Manuel suffered a bit more, but recovered in the final stages, taking home third place in EJ2 and sixth overall in the Junior class.
EGP. The overall level of the EGP has nevertheless risen. Today, at half-time, the top eight riders were covered by just ten seconds. Zach He returned to competition just three weeks after fracturing his right thumb, which had undergone surgery with the insertion of a plate. Unfortunately, the pain and the knowledge that he wasn’t 100% didn’t help him bring home the best result. But given the situation, a second and third place in the E2 class can be considered more than positive. In the EGP class, with sixth and eighth places, he still brought home important points.
A weekend slightly below expectations for Cavallo, who didn’t find the right feeling with the Sicilian terrain. I’m sure he can do better, both because of his training and his motivation. Now, in a few days, he will be at the Italian Championships in Caltanissetta. Thank you all for your continued support.”
