Deny Philippaerts: ” Gara molto impegnativa come prima prova per la stagione 2026. Il primo caldo ha poi contribuito a rendere le due giornate più difficili. Le tre prove speciali erano molto tecniche su un terreno dove ci capita poco di allenarci. Il fondo molto duro con le pietre in superfice richiedono molta attenzione per non commettere errori.
In Day 1 Pietro ha faticato a trovare il giusto feeling ad inizio gara ma poi con un ultimo giro quasi perfetto è riuscito a portare a casa la prima vittoria per questo 2026!! Oggi era in lotta per la vittoria, ma una forte caduta nel Enduro Test con la rottura della pompa frizione lo ha relegato al quarto posto finale. Per Gabriele un ottimo inizio di Campionato con due top ten che dimostrano il suo costante miglioramento. Due giorni difficili per Berger condizionato dalla micro frattura all’ulna del braccio, non ancora guarita al 100%. Per Samuli dopo un positivo undicesimo posto in EJ1 nel Day 1, oggi è stato costretto al ritiro per un banale problema tecnico alla ruota anteriore durante la prima extreme. Ora un paio di giorni di riposo e poi via a Caltanisseta per gli Assoluti.”
Deny Philippaerts: “A very demanding race as the first test for the 2026 season. The first heat then contributed to making the two days more difficult. The three special tests were very technical on terrain where we rarely practice. The very hard surface with rocks on the surface requires a lot of attention to avoid making mistakes. On Day 1, Pietro struggled to find the right feeling at the start of the race, but then with a near-perfect final lap, he managed to take home his first win of 2026!! Today he was in contention for the victory, but a heavy crash in the Enduro Test with a broken clutch pump relegated him to fourth place overall. For Gabriele, it was an excellent start to the championship with two top ten finishes, demonstrating his constant improvement. Two difficult days for Berger, affected by a micro fracture to the ulna in his arm, which is not yet 100% healed. For Samuli, after a positive eleventh place in EJ1 on Day 1, today he was forced to retire due to a trivial technical problem with the front wheel during the first extreme. Now a couple of rest days and then off to Caltanisseta for the Italian Championships.”
